Westgate Hall wedding photography Hampshire. A very relaxed and informal wedding day. I imagine this is exactly how they wanted it to be.
We met up with Lisa at Ennios, a hotel, bar and restaurant which is a stone’s throw from Westgate Hall. Our bride and bridesmaids completing their hair and make-up preps. It was soon time to head for Westgate Hall for the wedding ceremony itself. A wedding venue for civil ceremonies which has some character about it. It has vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams which add to its charm.
The weather wasn’t completely on our side all day. Being so close to the sea meant we had to shield from the strong wind at times. However, it was dry which is the main thing. The guys only wanted a handful of family pictures and just a few of them together as newlyweds.
Lisa and Tony’s wedding reception was at the Dancing Man Brewery in Southampton. Now, this is a dark venue with heaps of atmosphere but not a lot of light. However, decorated with fairy lights meant that the venue looked fantastic and ready for a celebration! We made sure to make good use of the available light to ensure we kept the atmosphere for the wedding photos. In a darker wedding venue, it’s important to make sure your wedding photographer knows how to use available light and to balance any flash with the natural light too.
The day passed in a flash and it was already time for the first dance. The first dance was a slow dance with no frills. However, when the music got more lively, they turned out to be excellent Ceroc dancers!
