Surrey wedding photography at Addington Palace

The marriage of Sarah Grafham and Chris Hickox at All Saints’ Church in Sanderstead, Surrey and wedding reception at Addington Palace in Surrey on Saturday 23rd July 2011

Today I’d like to introduce you to Sarah and Chris, a lovely couple who recently celebrated their wedding at All Saints Church in Sanderstead and followed the ceremony with a reception at one of our favourite local haunts, Addington Palace. Since we’re recommended suppliers for Addington Palace we do a lot of photography there – so it’s always nice to go back and see what we can do with a new couple 🙂

I’d not seen Sarah and Chris since they’d originally booked me as their wedding photographer over a year ago, our only other contact having been the wedding questionnaire we ask our brides to complete a short while before the wedding day. So what does this say to me? It says I can expect a nice relaxed and easy-going couple… and what did I find? I found just that!

Kev and I started the day by meeting Chris at home as he prepared for the day with his best man – everything nice and relaxed, and our groom was in good spirits from the off, looking forward to the day ahead. We spent an easy 30 minutes with Chris before moving just down the road to meet Sarah… and were pleased to find her equally relaxed and looking forward to the day. Once Sarah was ready, we shot a few bridal photos before moving on to the church where we were treated to a lovely wedding ceremony with a very personal feel to it. Clearly Sarah, Chris and their respective families feel very comfortable in the church surroundings and this was reflected in the ceremony, hymns and in the general atmosphere in and around the church both before and after the wedding ceremony.

Once all was done, it was off to Addington Palace for the wedding reception. A few formal photos, lots of natural informal photography, and a lovely selection of special photos of our bride and groom before wedding breakfast, speeches, cake cutting and dancing for all. Perfect!

I think you’ll agree it’s blindingly obvious that everyone had a really good day. Sarah and Chris, thank you for being such a lovely couple to work with – and congratulations again!
