Oaks Farm outdoor wedding of Laura and Jack in October at Oaks Farm. The day before their wedding, it had rained for most of the day. We knew because we were photographing another wedding that day. Unfortunately, that couple had to get married indoors even though they had planned to have an outdoor wedding. Therefore, how lucky were Laura and Jack as they still got to ahead with their outdoor wedding ceremony!
Rob and I started as we generally do; with the bridal preps. Laura and the girls were calm but excited. The venue was looking really stunning. Great effort had gone into decorating the Orangery and the Barn with handmade brown paper stars with music notes on them. It was a very personal touch. Guests started arriving and Jack and his boys were there to greet them.
The outdoor ceremony was lovely, with readings and even a beautiful song from Mum. After the ceremony, it was round to the back lawn for drinks and canapes, followed by the wedding breakfast when the short list of formal groups had been photographed. This couple’s speeches were very emotional, with quite a few tears, but mostly laughter. Raucous laughter at that. Always love a well prepared and funny speech.
Laura and Jack had a great Oaks Farm outdoor wedding day. The couple and their guests were still partying when we left. We got lots of fab wedding photos for them, so we were very happy with the day too. Best of luck in their future endeavours.
