London wedding photography: the marriage of Yetunde Gregory and Lamond Lewis at St Margaret’s Church, with wedding reception at the Blackheath Halls in London.
Wow, what a day… and where to start? After photographing Yetunde’s sister Ayo’s Nigerian wedding a few years ago, Karen and I knew this was going to be a big day – with lots of hard work involved, and a whole heap of fun too! Yetunde and Lamond are a great couple, really easy going and a pleasure to work with. The wedding day was super-busy as expected, with barely a moment to stop and breathe – and I’m quite sure they wouldn’t have had it any other way!

We started the day by visiting Yetunde and her bridesmaids at the harlton Hotel in Blackheath, where preparations were already well underway as you can see above. Tunde looked amazing, and was remarkably composed in front of the camera, despite the hive of activity all around…

Once we left Yetunde, it was on to the church where we met up with a similarly relaxed Lamond, all ready for the service:

St Margaret’s Church is a lovely building, as this photo from the back of the aisle during the wedding ceremony shows: very impressive!

Of course, it’s fair to say we weren’t the only ones with cameras on the go during this wedding… 😉

Job done!
The service was followed by some formal photos outside the church, then it was on to Blackheath Halls for the rest of the wedding celebrations. A sudden heavy rain-shower put paid to a planned visit to Greenwich park for some bridal party pictures – but this wasn’t enough to stop the partying spirit of this wedding!

With English, Sri-Lankan and Nigerian elements all being incorporated into the wedding day, this was indeed a busy day, with lots of colour and lots of dancing (oh, and very fine food too!)… and judging by the celebrations already going on by the time Karen and I left, it looked like it was going to be a great night – these guys know how to party!
Many thanks to Yetunde and Lamond for inviting us to photograph your day for you – it was great to see so many familiar friendly faces again, and great be a part of your wedding day. 🙂
Rob.
