Horsham Registry Office Wedding Photography Sussex. Nina and Terry’s rainy day wedding at Horsham Registry Office and Holmbury St. Mary Village Hall in Dorking, Surrey. Today’s wedding was shorter coverage than usual, taking advantage of our compact package for shorter wedding photography coverage but was a lovely wedding with a thoroughly ‘good do’ with friends and family at the heart of it. Our newlyweds wanted the important parts of the day covered i.e. the ceremony, a few formal groups, and the speeches. From then on it was a case of let’s party on down.
Upon arrival at the registry office, the sun was out although rain was forecast for later. Nina and Terry were full of smiles, although a little nervous before the “I do’s”. The wedding ceremony went off without a hitch so it was off to the hall for the celebrations. Unfortunately, just as Nina arrived in the car at the venue, the heavens opened. Did it dampen her spirit? No indeed. You can see by the images, she smiled right through. The couple had laid on a BBQ lamb roast for the day and luckily the chefs had brought their gazebo to ensure proceedings were uninterrupted. We tasted the roast and can testify to how delicious it was.
The village hall is in Holmbury at the edge of the Hurtwood Forest and is set within a tranquil glade that you would never know was there. It truly was a lovely space for a wedding reception. They had set out hay bails for chilling out and socialising in the evening.
This couple were a smiley, warm and amiable pair whom Rob and I really enjoyed working with. They told us they have already been together for many years, so we know they are great together.
