The marriage of Claire Turner and Joe Berry at St John the Baptist Church and Eastnor Castle near Ledbury, Herefordshire on Saturday 11th September 2010

Today I’d like to share a few photos from Claire and Joe’s wedding, which took place recently at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire. Eastnor Castle is a stunning wedding venue – a genuinely luxurious and ornate castle, set amid the Malvern Hills and really does fit the billing for a fairytale wedding – which was just what Claire and Joe enjoyed!
With Karen assisting, we travelled up the night before so we could arrive fresh and early on the morning of the wedding, and took a leisurely stroll around the lake in the castle grounds. With just a few fishermen to keep us company at this time we took some lovely landscape photos of the castle, before catching up with Joe and Claire who were both getting ready for the wedding in the castle. A few prep shots to begin, then once Joe was safely on his way to church we took Claire for a little walk around a few of the ornate rooms inside the castle to take capture beautiful bridal portraits.
The wedding ceremony itself was held inside the quaint little local church, with music provided by friends of the bride and groom and a wonderful rendition of Ave Maria by Joe’s sister to finish proceedings. Once the ceremony was complete it was back to the castle for drinks, canapes and the wedding breakfast. Naturally with such a beautiful venue, we really enjoyed taking the photos for the wedding day, and got a great set. Let’s take a look at a handful of previews then, starting with our groom Joe, preparing with his groomsmen:

Whilst the wedding party were enjoying their wedding breakfast, Karen and I were still looking for photos to be taken… you know, I can’t remember the last time I saw a complete rainbow – this was a great view over the lake…

What a beautiful wedding and a stunning backdrop. Claire and Joe are such lovely people, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph the wedding for them. I hope you’ve enjoyed the previews – and of course, do feel free to leave any comments you have below.
All the best,
Rob.
