Surrey wedding photography at the Wentworth Golf Club

The marriage of Abigail and David at the Our Lady Immaculate Church in Tolworth, Surrey followed by their wedding reception at the Wentworth Golf Club at Virginia Water, in Surrey.

Lots of photos to show you today, from Abi and David’s wedding… starting with a few informal pictures Karen and I took at “Hair by Mitch” hairdressers in Surbiton, where we met Abi and the girls getting ready at the start of the day.

We had a lot of fun shooting ‘reportage style’ in the hairdressers – a place so funky I could have shot in there all day! As the girls are attended to, Abi continues to check on a few of those all important last minute wedding details…

Next stop after the hairdresser’s was Mum and Dad’s place just a few minutes down the road, where we found Abi’s wedding dress, shoes and flowers, and took the opportunity to take a few bridal portraits before heading on to the church for the wedding ceremony:

…a little quiet time for our bride immediately before the wedding ceremony… and then with the sun absolutely streaming in from behind, it’s time to begin!

The wedding ceremony was lovely – and featured absolutely the best choir I’ve ever heard. Once complete, a glass of champers for the happy couple, and then it was off to the Wentworth Golf Club. A quick stop by the lake on the way in gave us just enough time to grab a few bride and groom portraits just as the sun dipped down behind the tree for the day… before moving inside to the warm, lush interior of the golf club.

Those who know the Wentworth Club will know how beautifully decorated the interior is – warm, opulent and well.. lush! This, coupled to the warm, low ambient lighting provides a plenty atmosphere for the photos during the wedding reception, and a very cosy intimate feel: a pleasure to photograph.

Speeches were both funny and emotional…

…and were followed by what I can only describe as being the most impressive display of “Dad dancing” I have ever seen. Abi is clearly impressed, and a star is born! 🙂

Another fantastic wedding day!

A busy Abi and David (who live in Australia) are already back on the other side of the globe now. Quite how you guys managed to arrange such a lovely wedding from the other side of the planet is beyond me… but thank you so much for asking me to share the day with you – and congratulations to you both!
