Ramster wedding photography

Located just outside of Chiddingfold in Surrey, Ramster Hall is a charming country venue with a very relaxed feel to it. The venue consists of two main areas.  The Long Hall and the Great Drawing Room.

For wedding ceremonies, the Great Drawing Room is where wedding services are held.  The Great Drawing Room is an ornate and luxurious room.  It boasts a rather opulent feel, but still manages to retain a sense of intimacy at the same time. Surrounded by paintings and plush furnishing.  The Great Drawing Room also makes an ideal setting for a set of warm, relaxed bride and groom photos after the ceremony.

When it’s time for the wedding breakfast, you’ll enter the Long Hall. Here is a really charming room!  100 feet long, with a great Inglenook fireplace, and a dance floor at one end. The Long Hall looks really beautiful and is finished off in true style by a series of twinkling draping lights overhead.

Photography-wise, Ramster Hall can be something of a challenge.  The Long Hall particularly.  While setup beautifully for maximum atmosphere, is more atmospheric than light and bright – so do keep this in mind when choosing your photographer.  He or she is going to need to have experience in working in low-light wedding venues. You’ll want somebody able to both light the venue sufficiently and retain the wonderfully warm atmosphere of the venue.

Once the wedding ceremony is over, guests can retire to the private enclosed courtyard, which helps keep everybody together for drinks. The courtyard is tidy and well maintained, and also provides an area for a few formal photos of your guests.

Overall, Ramster is a charming venue with a lot going for it. Chiddingfold is a lovely leafy area of Surrey.  Ramster is a perfect country match for this.
