We love photographing dogs. Outside and on location, or inside in the studio. We just love our dog sessions, which are always somewhat hectic, but always get some great pet portraits for owners too.
Hester and her brother Tom came to us just before Christmas asking for portraits of their Mum’s much-loved border collies. It was late November by now so we had missed the best of the autumnal leaves. However, I think you’ll agree that we still managed to capture some great colour in these natural dog portraits. The pet portraits were destined for Mum’s wall as a Christmas present. This is such a lovely idea, and I think we can safely say that we managed to capture some lovely images of each dog alone and all the dogs together.
A huge shout out goes to Tom who did a sterling job of corralling the dogs each time they decided to go their separate ways. Mostly while Hester and I stood by watching and laughing! This was certainly a lively trio who preferred running to sitting… but we got there. And it was so worth it. The main portrait of three dogs was printed as a stunning wall canvas and looked absolutely beautiful. I’m sure Mum will treasure it. 🙂
If you have a four-legged family member and would like some beautiful pet portraits, please get in touch. You can see more pooches here on our Sussex dog photography page of our website.
