Megan and Nathan’s Surrey wedding day at Oaks Farm Barn, Shirley near Croydon.

Time to share another wedding from one of our favourite local wedding venues, at Oaks Farm.  It was a lovely spring day for Megan and Nathan’s wedding, and both our bride and groom and all their family and friends were happy to take advantage of the gorgeous summery weather throughout the day. The gardens in Oaks farm always look particularly lovely at this time of year, and one of our favourite pictures always includes the lovely Wisteria in the pond garden.

We started the day photographing bridal preps in the cottage, where Megan, her bridesmaids and her flower girls were all getting ready for the big day ahead. The wedding ceremony took place in the Stables, before everyone headed into the gardens to enjoy the sunshine…

Let’s look at some of the wedding photos from the day;

After we’d taken some formal wedding photos (and lots of informal reportage style pictures of course!) Karen and I took our bride and groom aside for just a little quiet time, where we could take some beautiful wedding pictures for them. The wisteria over the pagoda was a lovely place to start, and we then followed up with a short walk to the leafy lane just outside, where we knew we could make good use of some lovely backlighting there…

…before enjoying a quick walk amongst the buttercups…

…and some lovely pictures on the edge of the golf course, before we headed back inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches in the barn.

As you can see, this was a lovely wedding day, with everyone very relaxed and enjoying themselves! Congratulations to Megan and Nathan, we wish you all the very best for the future.
