Northbrook Park wedding photographers in Surrey… the marriage of Kate and Joe at Northbrook Park in Farnham.
Kate explains: “We don’t really want lots of formal pictures… and I don’t like having my picture taken either!”. No problem. Firstly, we reassured Kate that we would approach the day with a very informal style. More importantly, capturing the guests and wedding party enjoying themselves rather than the couple standing in front of me saying cheese. I was looking forward to shooting in a mostly reportage style.
On the morning of the wedding, Karen and I caught up with Kate on-site at Northbrook Park, in one of the Mews cottages. We began with a few photos of some of those all-important wedding details: the shoes, flowers, wedding dress etc. Then it was on to capture the rest of the day as it unfolded:

With Kate ready, it was soon time to head to the vine room for the wedding ceremony. I met Joe a few minutes before things were due to begin, and was pleased to see he was as calm and relaxed as Kate. The guests were here, everybody was seated: time to get married!

Kate and Joe’s attention to detail throughout the wedding day was exhaustive. For example, the little signs and different cakes in complementing colours. Little finishing touches that really added up to making their wedding both personal and individual.

Somehow, the day had stayed dry for all the parts that count. We left knowing that this was going to be a great night for all concerned. Most importantly, congratulations to Kate and Joe – we wish you all the very best.
