Marie and Kevin’s pre wedding photo shoot at Coombe Wood gardens

It’s all go here..!

So today I have another pre-wedding photo shoot to show you… Marie and Kevin are due to be married at Oaks Farm at the beginning of next month, and arranged a pre wedding shoot so we could get to know each other a little better before the wedding day arrives. Good stuff… with the weather picking up recently I was looking forward to a lovely sunny photo shoot amongst the flowers at Coombe Wood gardens, Surrey. Nice.

So up comes Friday of last week but the sun is conspicuous by its absense – and the clouds are threatening above! So what are we going to do? Well we shoot anyway, of course! I grab a ‘brolly to cover the lovely Marie, Kevin scurries under it whenever Marie let’s him, and Rob stands outside like a crazy photographer in the rain. Hm, I think maybe I got the raw end of that deal  😉

But did it spoil our pictures? I think I’ll let you be the judge of that…

Rain or no rain, the flowers looked beautiful and our couple looked great...

For a couple who didn't really know what to expect, Kevin and Marie did a fantastic job of posing for me!

Does the rain matter? Our couple don't seem to mind too much...

I think we got some great pictures, and I really warmed to Kevin and Marie who were so friendly and smiley throughout the shoot. Since we don’t have any choice in whether the rain is going to fall or not anyway, I always think it best to simply embrace what you’ve got and use it to your advantage if possible. I was looking to get some creative shots of Kevin and Marie that were a little bit different from what you might normally expect – and I think we got that. So do we really need a bright sunny day to get great creative pictures? Naah.
