The marriage of Charlene Farrell-Joseph and Tay Tu Tran at Grove House in Froebel College, Roehampton followed by their wedding reception at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington, London.
What can I say about this wedding?
Well, for starters we knew this was going to be another long and busy day for us… and with Karen and I leaving the house not long after 9am and not getting home again until around 11.30pm, we were not wrong! But that’s only half the story – and this was a wedding with so much going on, we couldn’t help but get caught up in the spirit of things and enjoy the day as it unfolded. We started the day with Charlene – complete with her ever-present infectious smile, as she prepared for the day ahead…

Once ready, a few portraits of our radiant bride, and then it was off across town towards Froebel College in Roehampton where the ceremony was due to take place. Grove House (a part of Froebel College) is a lovely building with superb grounds for a wedding party – and plenty of character inside for the wedding ceremony itself.

With the string quartet playing, our nervous groom Tay feels the emotion, as his bride smiles on as ever…

…but it only takes one look at Charlene for the smile to be firmly back on Tay’s face again!

Love the grab-shot above of the little girl trying to wink below… I always enjoy the natural moments (and she was very cute and funny)!

As you can see from the photos, the grounds of Froebel College are an ideal venue for a nice relaxed wedding reception. The wedding party seemed to agree…

Time to move on again… and this time we’re heading for the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington, where the rest of the wedding reception would take place… more drinks and nibbles, a Chinese tea ceremony, plenty of laughter, more cameras than I’ve probably ever seen at a wedding before(!) and then a meal, speeches and dancing: phew!

The first dance had to be seen to be believed… and what you can’t see from this particular photo is that being keen gamers, our bride and groom are actually dancing to a rather lively number being played on a Nintendo Wii – definitely a first for me, and loads of fun for our couple to enjoy and their guests to watch!

…and with that done, the rest of the wedding party took little encouragement to take to the dance floor themselves, to boogie the rest of the night away 🙂

So there you are… a truly packed out wedding day, with a whole heap of fun, smiles, tears and laughter. A huge congratulations to Charlene and Tay: you’re both such fun to work with, it was a pleasure taking your wedding photos for you.
All the best,
Rob.
