Outdoor lifestyle child portraits Surrey

A few photos from a recent lifestyle portraits photo session we did recently, featuring a very sweet little boy called William. Mum Julie called me and explained that she was looking for a children’s portrait photographer who could take some really natural portraits of her little boy. With William being a little on the shy side, Julie was keen to keep the photo session very informal… so we decided to arrange the shoot at a local wooded area not too far from us in Selsdon, Surrey.

William turned out to be a dear little thing, and we had no problems with shyness whatsoever – in fact, he loved the informal nature of our photo shoot, and simply enjoyed being out, exploring the woods and trails as I got on with taking a set of really informal portraits for Mum and Dad. We had a lovely walk, and once finished, went our separate ways with a slightly worn out William all ready to rest in the car on the way home…

For children’s portraiture, I absolutely love to be able to shoot in a relaxed and natural environment – and I always think this leads to some of the very best kids portraits you can take – after all, what’s more natural than a child having fun in an open natural environment?
