Today I’d like to share a few images with you from the wedding of Chantelle and David, who enjoyed a lovely outside wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Rowhill Grange hotel near Dartford in Kent.  It’s been a while since we’ve covered an outdoor wedding ceremony, so this was a lovely variation for Karen and me.  It made the day just a little bit different from the norm.  As fortune had it, a bright dry day worked in everyone’s favour.  After the ceremony was over friends and family were then able to enjoy plenty more time outside as they congratulated our bride and groom and soaked up the atmosphere of the day.

I love ‘people watching’.  Therefore, as a wedding photographer, this becomes a particularly handy skill to nurture even further.  After all, it’s not just about the posed photos, and a wedding day really is made up of literally hundreds if not thousands of little moments that come together to create the day.  And of course, it’s our job to capture them! Since our job is to tell a story with pictures.

More often than not these simple natural moments couldn’t be posed even if you wanted to anyway.
