Hartsfield Manor wedding photographer. Roger and Petra tie the knot at Hartsfield Manor in Betchworth, Surrey. We arrived to find a slightly nervy bride. A very big day that’s they have put a lot of planning into. Rob and I knew Petra would be much more relaxed after the ceremony. However, Roger, on the other hand, was busy greeting family friends and relatives. Roger and Petra’s sons were busy in the hallway practising their walk down the aisle. Loved that they wanted to make it just perfect for Mum and Dad.
Rob and I were able to take the bride and groom outside for photos since it was such a nice spring day. There was a magician to keep the guests amused until time to sit down for the wedding breakfast. Really, the day went as smoothly as you’d ever want and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The wedding day had a couple of Czech traditions added and this added to the fun. A staff member smashed a plate before the bride and groom entered the wedding breakfast. This is lucky and brings happiness for the couple. After that, the bride was carried away by friends of the groom. The groom has to find his wife as soon as possible. If he fails to find her, he has to buy her back from his friends. This symbolizes the girl’s separation from her parents and a new phase of her life. It also shows that the groom should be attentive! It was a pleasure to share their wedding day with them.
Anyway, enough from me. Here is some of the wedding photography:
