Gloucestershire wedding photography at Wyck Hill House Hotel

Wedding photography Wyck Hill House Hotel.  The marriage of Hattie and James at St. Mary’s Church in Lower Slaughter.  Followed by their wedding reception at Wyck Hill House Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire.

What a beautiful country wedding, set amidst the equally beautiful landscape of the Cotswolds.  Firstly, Karen and I met up with James, who was in good spirits finalising his preps with his groomsmen. A few reportage-style photos were swiftly followed up by a couple of informally posed shots.  But also with a good natter about cars and other such manly things.

We then proceeded to see Hattie, who was getting ready with the girls in the main house. This was our first visit to Wyck Hill House, and I must say it turned out to be a beautiful location for a wedding day.

With everything ready, it was off to St. Mary’s Church in Lower Slaughter for the wedding ceremony.  Lower Slaughter is completely charming, and the little church made the perfect venue for a beautiful wedding service.  There were tears of joy and laughter.

With the ceremony completed, our newlyweds headed back to Wyck Hill House for the wedding reception.  This was in fact just in time too because minutes later the heavens opened.  Fortunately, our ushers for the day had everything in hand (well… brollies in hand actually) and everyone was soon inside, nice and dry.

 

Finally, with the Cotswolds being such a lovely area, after the wedding, Karen and I stayed on for an extra couple of days.  If you like a quaint, quiet and relaxing place to idle around for a while, I’d thoroughly recommend visiting the area.  If you do decide to visit and are looking for a tip-top bed and breakfast to stay at, I’d also thoroughly recommend giving James a call at No9 Stow-on-the-Wold.
