Sussex wedding photography at Eastlands Estate, Billingshurst

The marriage of Fay Kelly and Brett Milton at Eastlands Estate,  West Sussex on 26th June 2010

Hi all!

Today I’d like you to meet Fay and Brett who were married on a blisteringly hot Saturday last week at Eastland’s Estate in West Sussex. This was my first visit to Eastlands, so I was very pleased to find it to be a lovely venue, with beautiful grounds, a small lake, and very helpful staff . Just the ticket for a balmy summer wedding day!

Kevin and I had a ball taking pictures throughout the day and made the most of the strong directional sunlight to capture some really creative wedding photos. As most wedding photographers will tell you, harsh sunlight is often best avoided for the best photos – but instead of running away from it entirely, we decided to use it to our advantage before we slowly melted beneath it! The groomsmen photo above is a great example I think, using the sunlight to create something really quite different from a ‘standard’ groomsmen photo…

So let’s take a look at some more of our pictures from the wedding day then… and I just have to start with Fay’s seriously impressive wedding shoes!

How cool are those shoes? And who’d have thought a bathroom would make such a wonderful makeshift studio for us ;). Next up we have Fay and sis preparing for the day ahead:

As I’m sure Brett would agree, Fay made a stunning bride. And fun too! Let’s have a peek at Fay’s wedding bouquet. I absolutely love this shot because it’s just so fun and just a little bit quirky. This is a bride enjoying her wedding day..!

The grounds of Eastlands Estate make a fantastic setting for romantic wedding photography, with the lake offering the perfect opportunity to take our bride and groom away for a little ‘quiet time’.

I hope you’ve all been saying “Aah…” Moving on, the speeches had more than a few moments. Here’s our best man…

…and as day turned into evening the venue, set in its own grounds speaks for itself:

Finally, another flower photo for you – again, courtesy of a strong directional shaft of sunlight used to its best advantage.

That’s it for now. Lot’s more to come for Fay and Brett, so I’ll be looking forward to showing them plenty more once I’ve finished processing their photos. Congratulations to the happy couple once again, and I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at the preview pictures. As always, your comments are very welcome below.

All the best for now then!

Rob.
