Berkshire Wedding Photography The Great House Sonning. The humanist wedding ceremony of Emily and Tommy at The Great House Sonning. Today’s ceremony took the form of a Humanist wedding. Humanist weddings are perfect for couples who would like a meaningful ceremony that isn’t religious. As well as the flexibility to create a personal ceremony that is unique to them. What a beautiful ceremony this was. Very touching and meaningful in every way. I’m absolutely sure all of their family were so glad to be part of it. It must have taken the couple quite some time to put together these lovely words for and about each other. The ceremony room was a lovely warm and rich room which on an October day, was perfect.
The Great House Sonning
The Great House is in the village of Sonning-on-Thames. It sits on the banks of the river so has a lovely riverside location. For an October day, the weather, although not particularly cold, was very blustery. We managed to get outside for a windy walk for some bride and groom pictures. The guests were happy inside mostly enjoying the crooning voice of the wedding singer. After a sit-down meal and some very funny speeches and games, guests were mingling and thoroughly enjoying the evening by the time we were due to leave. The photo booth was popular as part of the early evening activities. These always prove popular at weddings and the guests seem to have lots of fun dressing up and laughing at each other at the same time!
We wish Emily and Tommy happiness on their journey through life together. Here are but a few favourites chosen from the day’s photography.
