Addington Palace Wedding Photography in Surrey. The wedding of Faye Gerry and Dave Shorthouse at Addington Palace in Surrey.

Our first job of the day was to photograph our groom and groomsmen during their preps. However, when we arrived at Addington, Dave was nowhere to be found! All became clear when we found Faye and her bridesmaids. Apparently, Faye had booked her intended a full pamper session that morning, which both Rob and I thought was a really thoughtful idea. How better to start your day than fully relaxed! When our groom did arrive he was indeed relaxed and smiling and said he had fully enjoyed his surprise grooming. (A groomed groom).

In fact, this couple were smiling all day even when the heavens opened and a thunderstorm started whilst they were getting ready! Luckily, the storm came and went quickly. This meant that they were able to enjoy the ensuing sunshine during the drinks and canapés reception for their guests outside in the grounds.

The wedding breakfast was in the vastly impressive Great Hall. This magnificent feature room has large ornate fireplace forming the focal point of the house. Hanging from the centre of the ceiling is the magnificent candelabrum. Rob and I love the light that pours in from the big windows to the top table. Always provides a lovely light for the top table.
