So I’m sitting here today on this gorgeous Friday afternoon after spending most of today running ’round like a lunatic chasing money from bank to bank and I think we’re going to be moving on Monday..!
I say I think we’re moving… we should be… but with the way this week has been, who can tell for sure? Anyone who’s moved in the last few years will already know what a total nigtmare this can be, and ours is no different. Last minute funds transfers brought about through lack of information can be… frustrating to say the least.
…but anyway… assuming all goes well, Karen and I will be officially ‘going up in the world’ as of Monday, having bought the place right above ours. Not the most adventurous thing in the world to do, but those of you that have been to our place will know that the extra space (Ooooh… space) will be so much easier than the little place we’re in right now. It’s my fault, I admit – before I moved in with all my junk (lovely equipment) this place was just fine – but I’m a photographer, and photographers are gear-freaks who simply must have lots of things. So we’re moving into our new bigger place. 🙂
So why am I telling you? Well, with all the messing around expected, we may not have normal access to our internet connection for a while – so if you need to contact me in the next week or so please do be patient. If I don’t have the same ‘net access as normal I’ll find a way to keep in touch, but you just might not get any new pictures posted on the blog for a week or two.
On the positive side of things, we’re really looking forward to having much more space to live in, hope to use this space to make our client meetings more comfortable and we should be able to shoot the odd in-house portrait session a bit more easily too. That’s got to be a good thing. We’ve got lots of plans, most cost a fortune, and some will take a bit of time – but we’re looking forward to the end result (I think).
Anyone who needs to contact us directly will still get through with all the same contact details… and the next post (hopefully) come from our new home.
Wish us luck!
Rob & Karen
