We had a fantastic year in 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people and taking both their portraits and their wedding photos for them. We got so many pictures we loved it’s hard to narrow them down to just a few favourites – but that’s exactly what I’d like to do now, and just as we did last year I’d like to throw this open for our friendly in-house “Robert Hooper Photography wedding photo of the year 2010” competition to see which one you liked best – so sit back and enjoy the following wedding photos and be ready to vote for your favourite!
I’ve chosen a single image from each wedding we featured on the blog during 2010 (we had a couple we didn’t blog, for security reasons) and have also cheated just a little by including a couple of pre-wedding photo shoots I couldn’t resist too. For each picture, I’ve tried to choose a wedding photo that says something to me – whether it’s a feeling, an expression, or simply a lovely wedding photo I enjoy. All you need to do, is to choose your favourite and leave your vote in the comments below. Please do only vote once, and keep in mind that your vote may not show up right away (this is to prevent spam).
The competition will run until January 31st, and the photo with the most votes will win a free 20×16 inch framed print for the bride and groom concerned. So let’s kick off… 🙂

As you can see, we had a lot of fun during 2010 – and I like to think that we captured some really unique wedding photos to stand out from the crowd. Of course, we also cover the standard wedding pictures too – but I love to see and take wedding photos that are just that little bit different too… whether it’s fun, different, romantic, or just plain quirky – I love it!
Voting is now open – and don’t forget the competition will run until January 31st. Anonymous or duplicate votes won’t be counted so please leave a name and email address with your vote. The winning photo gets a free 20×16 inch framed print for the bride and groom concerned. No substitutes or cash alternatives will be offered and the judge’s decision (that’s me) will be final. Enjoy voting!
Update: 22/01/10
Just under a week to go and thank you all for all your votes so far. However, we have been getting a number of duplicate votes, along with a few with no names so I’d just like to add a gentle reminder that when the final count up is done, any duplicate votes or anonymous votes will not be counted. This includes votes left without a valid email address and/or multiple votes from the same person – so spread the word but remember it’s one vote each only(!)
Voting is now closed. Winner will be announced in the next few days.
All the best,
Rob. 🙂
