Being known primarily as a wedding photography, I’m often asked what I do when I’m not actually shooting weddings…

Truth be told, during the summer months I really don’t get a lot of time for much else – but when I do get a chance I love to shoot other things, from commercial photography, headshots for businesses and individuals, lifestyle family portraiture and children and baby portraits. One of my other loves is shooting pet photography – and although I don’t genrally post these on the blog they can be great fun to do – so I thought I’d show you a few snaps from a recent dog photography session where I photographed three Spaniels for Deborah in Leatherhead, Surrey. Let’s start with one of all three dogs, which reminds me very much of a chocolate box photo:

Nest up: running dogs. Always a challenge for the camera but defninitely worth doing because they just pull the funniest faces..!

I often find when I’m commissioned to shoot a dog portrait session (or any pet portraits for that matter) that it’s a gift for a loved one – and these really do make smashing presents for pet lovers. If you’d like your own pet captured on film (ok that term isn’t strictly accurate since I haven’t used film for many years… but you know what I mean)… just drop me a line.
Would you like to see more varied photos on the blog in the future or should we stick to showing mostly wedding photography? Do let me know what you’d like to see more of – and if you’d like more variety, I’ll see what I can do. 🙂
Until next time,
Rob.
