So, today I’ve spent a few (well actually far too many) hours switching things about with my blog…
You may notice, the new blog has a new look to it – which will probably change a bit over the coming weeks as I tweak things closer to how I want them. this is all dependent on me getting my head around the techie stuff!
There are a couple of reasons I’ve changed my blog hosting (from Blogger to WordPress). Most are probably down to my own ignorance in making my older blogdo what I wanted it to do, and certainly not down to anything ‘bad’ about Blogger, which has worked well for me up to this point.
First and foremost I wanted to show you bigger pictures on the blog. This is, after all what it’s here for and I struggled to do that with the old blog. I’m sure it can be done, but I’ll be the first to admit that my knowledge of CSS styles etc is limited at best: I scrape by, but no more. Well, all new posts made from now on with the new blog will feature bigger snaps already – a good thing, in my book.
Another reason for the change was I decided to host the blog from a (sub)domain on my own website. Again I’m no expert, but I’m led to believe that this may be preferable from an SEO point of view (don’t ask – big can of worms)! This seemed like a good time to make both changes at once, so let’s see how things go…
Whether you like the new look, or you hate the new look… feel free to comment or drop me a line: your feedback is always welcome.
All the best,
Rob.

Thanks a lot, dude 🙂
