Lorraine and Phil’s wedding day at the Selsdon Park Hotel

The marriage of Lorraine Fairclough and Philip Earle, Saturday 6th June 2009 at the Seldon Park Hotel near Croydon, Surrey.

So, some of you may remember Lorraine and Phil from their pre wedding photo shoot we did in the park a few weeks ago. If you click on the link, you’ll see that we got some great photos on that day… so I’d been looking forward to photographing the wedding day at Seldon Park this month.

After a rather iffy looking start to the day (woken up by thunderstorms overnight), Karen and I were pleased to see the weather improve enough that we weren’t all going to get completely soaked all day. We met Lorraine and Phil at the hotel, and got down to photography right away. The day went off really well, with a fantastic atmosphere from almost 200 guests. We just about managed to avoid being rained on during the formals, and the rest of the day just got better and better…

Wow! Like I said… Great wedding photos – but we couldn’t have done it without a great wedding, which is  undoubtedly what Lorraine and Phil had. We have loads more where that came from, so I’m looking forward to showing our bride and groom the rest when they get back home from honeymoon.

I’d like to finish up by saying a big thank you to all the guests I met who were so friendly during the course of the day – especially my new buddy Pam, who helped Karen and I right from the start while we turned the hotel room upside down to get those great pictures of the wedding dress. 🙂
