Kila and Peter’s wedding day at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park

Oh wow!

I’ve so many fantastic photos of these guys, I hardly know where to start!

Kila and Peter were married last Sunday (24th August) at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park. I’d met up with Kila and Peter a week before for a chat and some pre wedding photos – and I knew then that this was going to be a great day to photograph.

Let’s start at Kila’s place then – but instead of the bride, today I’m going to show you a bridesmaid photo first – because I like it 🙂

If you could read the note stuck in the mirror here, you’d be saying “Aaah”… just like me.

Like that? Good: let’s show you a photo of Kila then. Both Kila and Peter were fantastic on the day, and gave me loads of great opportunities for picture taking. Check this out:

It’s not every day you have time to set up a photo like that one on a wedding day – but it certainly pays off when you do! Here’s another one – courtesy of a great coloured wall, a very accommodating bride, and my video light, held just out of shot by Kev…

Looking good!

So, on to the wedding itself, held in Pembroke Lodge. This is a lovely venue, right in the middle of Richmond Park, with fantastic views all round. The ceremony itself was light and airy, and went off without a hitch;

And just in case Peter is sitting in front of a pc calling Kila a poser… Groom and best man in best catalogue pose…

…and the girls?

And when we get Bride and Groom together…

That’s a Rolls Royce Phantom by the way – lovely!

They say “For the best pictures, never shoot into the sun…” Hehe. Rubbish. Get this 😉

The reception was also lots of fun with a great band who had everybody up on the dance floor, playing a mixture of popular and irish music. Here’s a shot I liked…

And our final shot for now – testiment to the amazing abilities of today’s camera technology. For those of you “in the know” this shot was taken at 6400iso on a Canon 1DIII, and shows hardly any noise at all. Amazing! Just a few years ago this would not even have been possible…

Well there you are… that’s all for now. I have loads more waiting in the wings, but you’ll have to wait until Kila and Peter have seen them first. After that they’ll be available here:

Kila and Peter’s wedding photos

Thanks to everyone for their hospitality on the day, and thanks especially to Kila and Peter for being such great sports. Your album is going to be a killer!

Do feel free to leave your comments at the bottom of the post, I’d love to hear them 🙂

All the best for now then,

Rob
