We seem to have spent a good deal of time ‘dodging the weather’ recently (sometimes it has to be said, more successfully than others) and the wedding I’d like to show you today was no exception! Here, we share a few photos from the wedding of Hayley Snowden and David Gosling, recently married at Oaks Farm barn in Shirley, Surrey.

Hayley and David were great to work with on the day of the wedding – so relaxed and friendly, I couldn’t help but smile along with them. We met Hayley in Orchard cottage where she was preparing with the girls, before covering the ceremony in the barn followed by the wedding reception in the orangery (which is always lovely to shoot in because it has such lovely light).

Threatened by some somewhat ‘iffy’ weather forecasts, we somehow managed to avoid the worst of the weather, and got some lovely photos both inside and outside during the course of the day.

Guests were happy, bride and groom were happy… everyone was happy

Once back inside, the wedding breakfast was catered by Aiden at Tierney’s caterer’s who as always, looked after both wedding guests and photographers in superb style..!

Oaks farm recommended wedding photographer

Say “Hi”  to a very cute 6 month old Dylan, who visited me with parents Pam and Dave for a photo shoot at our home studio in Croydon…

Despite suffering from a cold at the time of his shoot, Dylan was bubbly and cheerful throughout his shoot – and it was also lovely to see Pam and Dave again, after photographing their wedding for them in 2010.

More Chinese pre-wedding photography for you again today – this time, taken during a very wet day in London!

Sometimes the great British weather is simply not kind to us… and for Janet and Mike’s pre wedding shoot, this was just such a day. Since today’s couple live in Hong Kong and were only in the UK for a very short time (in fact flying home the following day) we pressed ahead with our plans despite heavy rain for the majority of the day – and somehow our couple managed to keep smiling for their pictures anyway!

The morning was quite literally something of a washout (although we still managed to get some great pictures while dodging the raindrops)… but fortunately for us all the weather finally cleared up later in the afternoon…

That last photo pretty much sums it up for me – a great couple, determined to make the day an enjoyable experience despite the weather. Well done guys – I’ll have your full galleries ready for you very soon.
