A Christmas winter wedding at the London Golf Club

Happy new year everybody!

After a week or two of far too much food, wine and merriment it’s back to work again and looking forward to a new year… but first it’s time to take a quick peek back to our last wedding of 2011 – the marriage of Lorraine Walter and Stephen Dalton at the London Golf Club in Kent… and what a Christmas cracker of a wedding to finish with!

I always enjoy shooting at the London Golf Club, but it’s particularly fun around Christmas time when the Christmas tree and decorations add an extra bit of festive glamour to any wedding. Let’s take a look at a few photos then…

Always a tricky element of a winter wedding, we were lucky enough that the weather held out enough for a short set of photos outside in the grounds of the club…

…back inside, a few celebratory drinks were followed by the wedding breakfast, and a good old singalong before food was served…

The impromptu singalong session had everyone out of their seats before it was done… and more than a few up on their seats really enjoying the wedding!

Lots of fun and more than a little pre-festive cheer. Congratulations to Lorraine and Stephen, and a Happy New Year to everybody!

Kent wedding photography at the London Golf Club

Today I’d like to share a few images from the wedding of Laura Connolly and Richard Mitchell, who were married at the Holy Trinity Church in Sidcup Kent followed by their wedding reception at the London Golf Club. Starting our day at the church, Karen and I arrived in plenty of time only to find an empty church devoid of any signs of life whatsoever… a little bit disconcerting… until not too long before the ceremony itself when almost everybody arrived at once – having all travelled together on a London route-master bus!

Excellent: so now we have a groom and a church full of guests, and it wasn’t long until our bride Laura arrived and the ceremony began. The ceremony was a very relaxed affair, a good indication of the day to come. Let’s take a look at a few pictures then:

It’s fair to say Laura and Richard are very easy going and fun loving is something of an understatement… as we left the reception at the end of our day, we went to say our goodbyes and found Laura, scissors in hand, converting her wedding dress into something altogether more suitable for dancing in! Now I just know this was one wedding party that were going to have a good night!

Congratulations guys:)
