Rosalind and Dan’s wedding at Northbrook Park, Surrey

The marriage of Rosalind Le and Dan Pepper at Northbrook Park Farnham, Nr. Bentley in Surrey on Sunday 6th June 2010

Still catching up after our recent computer hiccups, today I’d like to share a few photos  from Rosalind and Dan’s wedding day at Northbrook Park. Another beautiful day for a wedding, and a lovely venue too… so with Kevin assisting for the day (armed and ready with his brand new Canon 5DII) we set off for another day of fun, sunshine and merriment. Northbrook Park is a delightfully light and bright venue for a wedding… the wedding ceremony itself has windows lining both sides – so with a careful exposure we’re able to use a nice low ISO with our cameras, keeping the file quality right up there where we want it. The ceremony was lovely, and with both Rosalind and Dan offering their own very personal vows the feeling was exceptionally intimate. Indeed, looking through the photos of Ros and Dan during the ceremony, one could be forgiven for forgetting there was anyone else in the room at all, since they clearly only had eyes for each other!

Once the ceremony was complete, the wedding party retired to the gardens in the sunshine – a few formal photos, then a great set of informal pictures with both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. We also had time for some gorgeous bride and groom photos, Rosalind and Dan really enjoying the session, and looking fantastic throughout.

Let’s see some photos then. We’ll begin with Rosalind – our radiant bride…

Phew! Lots and lots of photos for the day, a great couple and a great crowd. I’ll be looking forward to building the wedding album for Rosalind and Dan in due course, and I just know they’re going to love it..!

As is usual, please do feel free to leave your own comments at the end of the post. I hope you’re having a great honeymoon Ros & Dan, and I’ll look forward to speaking to you again soon.

All the best for now then,

Rob.

@Robert: Was great meeting you and thanks for not putting any photos of me up in this initial selection! Look forward to seeing the completed set soon. And any more thoughts about swapping your Mark IV for my Mark III? :P

Rob - June 21, 2010 - 3:03 pm

Hey Sam, was great to meet you too… but I’m afraid you never be getting away with no photos of yourself… I got some great ones with you in them! Oh, and I’m afraid you’ll need to pry my 1D4 from my cold dead hands! ;)

All the best, Rob.

Arti - June 21, 2010 - 5:35 pm

Wow Rob these are amazing photos, I’m so excited to see the rest! Like Sam, I am grateful for you not publishing any photos of myself lol! But what a fantastic set of photos! The couple look amazing!

From the rather chatty bridesmaid who’s supposedly always happy to strike a pose! ;-P

Thanks, Arti

@Rob: Ah well … it was worth a try, right? :) And now I’m worried to see what you have of me!!!

M & M - June 25, 2010 - 2:13 pm

Beautiful, love the colours and soft lighting!

Smrithy - June 26, 2010 - 11:14 am

Hi Rob, You have captured the day so poignantly. The bride and groom look breathtaking!! Unfortunately unlike Sam and Arti looks like I did not manage to escape the collage!!! Blame falls squarely on my little girl!!

Heads up: ITV wedding show… anyone want to be famous?

I got a call the a few days ago from a very nice lady at ITV, who are currently working on a show called “Four Weddings”. They’re looking for couples to participate, and asked if I could help spread the word. I’m sure Clare can explain much better than I, so here’s a snippet of information for you…

…Thanks for speaking to me today; as I mentioned on the phone, I work for ITV and we are currently casting for the third series of LIVING’s show Four Weddings.  I am looking for couples who are getting married or having a civil ceremony between June – November 2010 to take part and wondered if you maybe able to help? If possible it would be great if you could forward this information around to any of your clients.

To give you a little more information, the show is a competition between 4 brides, made with a similar, fun tone to Come Dine with Me. Each bride will attend the others’ weddings as a guest and will judge and score the day as a whole based on four categories: the dress, the food, the venue and the overall experience. The bride with the highest score will win a luxury honeymoon. This is a fun show with a fantastic prize but it’s also a chance for the viewer to have an insight into different types of weddings and it would be fantastic to get a traditional Chinese wedding on the show, although we do want a range of weddings so anyone interested would be great.

If you can help in any way to spread the word about the show and if you know anyone getting married who might be interested that would be fantastic.

So there you are. Anyone interested, give me a shout and I’ll pass your details along.:)

All the best,

Rob.

Emma and Jonny marry at St Mary’s Church Chilham & Eastwell Manor, Kent

The marriage of Emma Jayne Smith and Jonathan Adams at St Mary’s Church, Chilham and wedding reception at Eastwell Manor in Ashford, Kent: Saturday 5th June 2010

Hi all! First an apology for the delay in getting our preview photos up today. I usually try to get a few sneak-peeks online just a few days after each wedding but circumstances seem to have conspired against me recently, and following a busy weekend shooting weddings on both the Saturday and Sunday my computer decided to go on strike in a BIG way which left me re-installing my entire operating system and every piece of software on it! Fortunately all photos are always kept on multiple separate drives and and backed up separately too… but a major re-install certainly sets things back a touch when you’re busy!

Anyway, on to Emma and Jonny’s wedding day – and what a busy day this was! Karen and I set off nice and early for the wedding to meet Emma where she was getting ready in Eastwell Manor. After just about cramming our equipment into Karen’s VW Polo (another long story, my car having been bumped a few days earlier was still being straightened) we arrived to find preparations in full swing – flowers everywhere, and an excited looking Emma looking radiant already. We started with some lovely shots of Emma’s dress and shoes then went on to take some beautiful photos of Emma before nipping off to see Jonny at the other end of the venue. Then we moved on to the Church in Chilham where the wedding ceremony would take place. The sun was positively beating down, and we certainly missed the air-con from my car! Once inside the (nice cool) church we were able to take a wonderful series of photos of the ceremony itself, then it was outside again for some formal group shots in the church grounds. Moving on, the wedding party returned to Eastwell Manor for the reception, drinks, and wedding breakfast. Lots more photos, both formal and casual – and some lovely quiet pictures of our bride and groom a little later in the day before the evening reception kicked off with an amazing first dance that I have to admit I really wasn’t expecting – Go Jonny, Go…

So there you are then: just a few previews from a great photo-filled day! Lot’s more to come once Emma and Jonny get back from honeymoon, and as usual all comments are very welcome.:-)

All the best for now,

Rob.
