I hope everyone’s wrapped up warm!
Today I’d like to show you some photos from our very first wedding related photo shoot of 2010. This was a great pre wedding engagement photo session last Sunday featuring a really fun couple – Rachel Chan and Chris Wallis. We’ll be covering Rachel and Chris’ winter wedding for them next month at the very picturesque Danesfield House in Marlow on Thames, Buckinghamshire – so we thought it might be nice to pay the venue a visit for some great pre wedding photos first. After such a lot of heavy snowfall recently, Karen and I initially wondered if we’d be able to drive to the venue at all – but as it turned out although most sensible people had decided to stay at home for the weekend the motorways were well gritted and we actually had quite a nice easy drive.![]()
Arriving in the grounds of Danesfield House, we were pleased to see a complete blanket of snow which was largely untouched: great for some of the photos Karen and I had in mind! Rachel and Chris arrived soon after, with bubbly Rachel already grinning from ear to ear – so off we went into the cold to see what we could do. We had a great session, with lots of fun, a few numb fingers (and toes) and got a really lovely series of photos. It’s so unsual to get such a beautiful covering of snow I was really glad we were able to use it – and I’m sure Rachel and Chris got an engagement photo session they will never forget!
So… let’s show you some pictures then…

Fun in the snow! I hope you’ve enjoyed the previews, Karen and I can’t wait to photograph the wedding day. A big thanks to both Rachel and Chris for being such good sports, doing anything and everything we asked them to do – and still managing to somehow keep a (perhaps slightly frozen) smile on their faces! We had a lot of fun.![]()
Keep tuned into the blog for more photos after the wedding day in February!
All the best,
Rob.
