Hi all. Today I’d like to show you a few photos from the marriage of Liz and Alex, which took place last weekend on 31st January – right before the downpour of snow arrived just a day later. How lucky is that?
I have to admit it wasn’t the warmest of days I can ever recall – but our couple really made up for this. Liz and Alex are both warm and friendly, and following on from their pre wedding shoot we did a few weeks ago at Virginia Water they were keen to get some great photos on the day of the wedding.
Let’s start with a picture of Liz then, looking cool and serene as her magnificent long veil was being fitted…

Here’s a shot from inside the church, right after the ceremony. Of course, I wasn’t the only person at the church with a camera…

…and then on to a very impressive venue for the wedding reception – The Royal Holloway, University of London. This is a very impressive building, as you’ll see a bit later on. Meanwhile, Here’s our happy couple braving the wind and getting some great shots in the University grounds.

The veil blowing in the wind shot was a fun one to do – looks great full sized! Here’s another picture of our couple, looking cool with the Roller…

The groomsmen seemed to be enjoying the day…

Later in the evening, we took a few minutes out for some more ‘posed’ pictures with Liz and Alex. Knowing we were going to be limited to only a short daylight period, we decided to make the most of our location, and have a play with the light and dark…
Here’s Liz, looking stunning on a simple stone staircase inside the University:

…and a final shot… Our couple outside, and dealing with a very cold evening without a word of complaint. This tricky shot was a very long exposure, combined with 2 remotely triggered flashes – made all the more difficult by me standing in the middle of a surprisingly busy road to take it! Not easy – but worth every effort, I think.![]()

Well that’s all for now. Full galleries will be available here soon:
