Tara and Jon’s wedding at the Burford Bridge Hotel, Dorking

The wedding of Tara Walker and Jonathan Rapley on Friday 5th March 2010 at the Burford Bridge Hotel, Dorking in Surrey

This week I’d like to show you the wedding of Tara and Jon, who were married last Friday at the foot of Boxhill in the Burford Bridge Hotel. Kevin and I were on hand to photograph the celebrations, and were pleased to find a lovely spring day for the occasion. After meeting up at “Rykers Cafe” for a good breakfast before we began (Oh, that takes me back to the days… any bikers out there will know exactly where I mean) we ventured into the hotel to meet Jon and his groomsmen who were already in good spirits as they put the finishing touches to getting ready. After taking some nice shots of the boys, we then headed off to meet our bride Tara, who was already in her wedding dress and looked amazing! Don’t take my word for it though… have a look at some pictures: here’s Mum – trying hard not to cry for the umpteenth time already today!

What’s all the fuss about? Let me tease you a bit more before showing you…. we weren’t the only ones taking pictures. Here’s Tara with Dad…

Ok, and now let’s take a look at our beautiful bride:

Didn’t Tara look amazing? Dad thinks so too…

Moving along a bit, you’ll see that we had a lovely day for the wedding too. I love a good confetti shot so let’s show you one now. Smiles all ’round!

Wedding rings::)

Of course, we also managed to photograph our bride and groom together – here’s Tara and Jon snatching a little ‘alone’ time right before the wedding breakfast…

Not forgetting the groomsmen…

And finally I can’t quite resist showing you just one more photo of Tara and Jon, taken quite late in the day in the quieter restaurant area of the hotel, as the band were readying themselves for the first dance that would happen shortly afterwards…

That’s it! Well… for now anyway. Actually, we got lots and lots more photos in the bag and I can’t wait for Tara and Jon to return from honeymoon so I can show them everything else. In the meantime, I’d better get back to work and finish processing them!

Please do feel free to leave your comments as usual. Thanks for looking!

Rachel and Chris’ wedding day at Danesfield House, Marlow

The marriage of Rachel Chan and Christopher Wallis, Saturday 6th February 2010 at St Peter’s Catholic Church and wedding reception at Danesfield House and Spa, Marlow, Bucks.

Today I’m going to show you Rachel and Chris’ wedding day: you may recall we did a pre wedding photo-shoot a few weeks ago at Danesfield House (although things looked very different then all covered in snow). Just as when we did the pre wedding shoot, Karen assisted for the day – and we’ve got a really nice set of images to show you. We started the day with Chris getting ready with the boys, then went on to Danesfield to meet Rachel as she prepared for the day. The wedding ceremony itself was held at at St. Peter’s Catholic Church a few minutes down the road – with guests being transferred by a traditional London Bus then back to Danesfield House again for the reception. The venue is lovely and although cold weather meant we didn’t get to spend much time outside, it has some great features in the grounds as well as being very ornate inside.

Let’s show you some wedding photos then. You’ve already seen a shot of Chris, who is actually very camera-shy – but you’d never know it from the picture! Here’s a snap of Grant and Rob (Chris’ brother) applying the finishing touches to their outfits…

Another shot of the boys getting ready…

…then moving on to Rachel and the girls:

Rachel was an amazing bride – a really bubbly character never more than a few seconds away from a giggle and a smile! Here’s a quiet shot taken right before leaving the hotel for the wedding ceremony…

Didn’t she look great? Check out the photo below as our couple exchanges vows – I think Chris agrees…

Of course we also took a few detail photos – the flowers were beautiful. Here’s Rachel’s wedding bouquet:

I hope you like what you’re seeing. More yet… let’s take a peek at our newlyweds together…

Aaaah… this is what it’s all about:)

I’ve just got to show you this one. We were quite pushed for time at this point (and brrr, it was cold outside)… but sometimes just a few minutes effort can really be worthwhile. Loving this one:

Cool. Hmm, what can I show you next? How about the wedding rings – ruby, black diamonds, and the entire ring formed as a Möbius loop. Now that’s pretty cool.

Moving along… let’s have a peek at the first dance…

Ok, one more dance shot…

…and finally… something a little bit different…

Job jobbed.

Brilliant wedding, excellent couple and a very friendly family. 12 hours from leaving home to getting back again but worth every minute. Thanks for having us guys. Have a great honeymoon and I’ll look forward to seeing you again soon!

All the best,

Rob.

Micah’s baby portraits

I haven’t posted any baby portraits for a while… but I just wanted to share a couple of recent photos of Micah, who had a very quick portrait session taken last week during dad Andrew’s lunch hour!

Micah is a real cutie with a great temperament, so he was great fun to photograph. Go on, tell me you’re not saying “Aaaah”…;)
