Kent wedding photography at Cooling Castle Barn

The marriage of Hayley Delaney and Matthew Gee on Saturday 30th May 2011 at Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester, Kent

Buckle up boys and girls, I have a bit of a photo-fest for you!  Today I’d like to show you Hayley and Matthew’s wedding day which took place on a beautiful Saturday last weekend at Cooling Castle Barn in Kent.  With this being an unusually late start to the wedding season for us this year, Karen and I had been looking forward to our first wedding of the year – and we kicked off with a corker! We’ve also got lots more coming up, so keep ‘em peeled and we’ll show them as we go.:)

We visited Hayley first and we were pleased to find everything calm and running like clockwork – a testament to Hayley’s thorough preparation and attention to detail which was evident throughout the course of the day.  A cool calm Hayley was preparing with her bridesmaids Astrella, Kerry and Gemma (thanks Bill!)… so we took the opportunity to take pictures of the wedding dress, shoes and flowers – then went on to take a few photos of Hayley in her wedding dress… looking absolutely stunning, as I’m sure Dad would agree:

Of course, being so well organised also has other benefits… time for our bride to put her feet up before setting off for the wedding ceremony. Nice details – wedding date on the bottom of the shoes!

Beautiful bride:)

Once ready, it was off to Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester for the wedding ceremony.  Cooling Castle is a lovely wedding venue – certainly not the brightest wedding venue in the South, but it does have plenty of character and atmosphere both inside and out:

So now we’re at our wedding venue let’s introduce you to our groom Matthew.  I knew from our pre-wedding shoot a few weeks ago that Matt would be nice and relaxed for the photography, so we took a few quick snaps before the ceremony – once we’d disposed of his chewing gum of course!;)

With the arrival of our bride with Dad and bridesmaids, the ceremony can begin…

Of course, not everybody has their undivided attention on the events of the day – not when there are so many treats about!  I love capturing those natural little moments like this as our little flower girl tucks in to an impromptu snack:)

With the wedding ceremony completed, our newlyweds enjoy some together time in the venue grounds.  The weather outside was absolutely gorgeous, and this felt very much like a mid-summer wedding. I love the cart in the background!

Once inside, the reception barn was laid out beautifully.  The twinkly lights throughout the barn really add to the atmosphere inside…

Just a couple more for now:  lovely lighting in this shot from Karen, taken immediately before the wedding breakfast…

…and finally a quick grab shot I just thought was kind of fun:

Well that’s it for now then… lots of fun on the day, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the preview photos. Do feel free to leave your comments below, I’m sure Hayley and Matthew would love to read them.

All the best,

Rob.

Rob,

Really stylish and beautiful shots you have taken. Superb work, I look forward to seeing the full collection.

Sorry to tell you that you are still struggling with bridesmaids names. Should be Kerry and Astrella plus double t in Matthews.
This tip off should save your bacon with our perfectionist Hayley!!

Best regards
Bill

Absolutley stunning pictures… cannot wait to see the rest, think it is going to be hard to pick which ones to keep !

Hayley has had a sneak peak from her honeymoon and is very pleased you will be pleased to know. She particularly likes the one of her walking down the aisle.

Love it! can’t wait for the rest to come out. We’ve been overdosing on pictures since Sunday and have some excellent results but these are a class above. I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one who caught Keira dipping the crisps :-}
