Karen’s home studio portraits

Today I’d like to show you a few portraits of the long suffering Karen, who was good enough to pose for me a few days ago so we could tweak a few new things we’ve acquired for our home studio portrait sessions.

I’m sure a lot of you will recognise the lovely Karen, who assists me on wedding days… and is in charge at all other times

Although we do most of our portrait work on location we also occasionally use a dedicated studio, and over the past few months have added a few new things to our home studio setup, which allows us to offer simple studio style portrait sessions at very competitive prices. For a home studio setup one of the biggest challenges is always lack of space, so these are limited to one or two person shoots only – but in addition to space issues we also often find suitable lighting and/or posing accessories can be more difficult to find space for and use. After playing around with a number of different setups for both lighting and posing, we now have a great little setup for high quality portraiture coupled to great value. So let’s take a look at a few of Karen’s portraits – all done in our own front room!
